Using QGIS we overlaid the base maps with infrastructure data provided by tfl and validated on site, we then worked with our colleagues at WHP to create an interlocking mesh for mobile antenna coverage using existing street furniture to cover the desired geography.
All of the duct routes needed to be Test Rod and Roped and this could only be done at night due to the heavy footfall in the area.
This design had only one revision that was due to a structural change in the building which meant the inclusion of another DP.
This MDU was, however just a small part of the, over 40,000 MDU homes that Sitec surveyed and designed for Openreach in just three years, that achieved route approval.
Sitec worked in partnership with Hyperoptic to site a comms cabinet and associated power meter cabinet on street in Glasgow. The process included MSV and GPR surveys, electrical design, arranging power supply, applying for the planning consent, civils, cabinet installation and handover pack.
Sitec provided FTTH capacity for 62 homes at this beautiful Grade II listed building in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. A discreet fibre solution was utilised ensuring minimal visual impact.
In aid of Breast Cancer Now, we held a Wear it Pink Day whether that was in the office, field or working from home. We raised £81.50.
We held our yearly Macmillan Coffee morning in September raising £192.05 for this worthy charity, our team made us extremely proud with their bakes/contribution.
We even held a bake-off competition – it was an extremely close competition but congratulations to Laura Minns who won the award this year with her Jammie Dodger Blondies.
Sitec took part in the Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival, with our Team GB Captain Gavin Sinclair leading us! With an impressive time of 59.96 seconds, ‘Ready Oar Knot’ were the only team to break the 1 minute barrier, securing the fastest time of the day, and coming in 1st place in the combined heats, with 38 teams competing!
To support the increasing ASN work Sitec has added two new MEWP’s to their expanding fleet. They have hit the ground running and have had a busy initial month being used by our accredited resource delivering for our client.
