Team Sitec had an amazing day Dragon Boat racing in aid of Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT). Out of 30+ crews we matched last year and came 3rd with a gap of 0.3 second between 1st and 3rd!! We raised close to £1,000 for ACT, had a fantastic day – we were definitely the noisiest company there for sure – and next year we are aiming for 1st (not that we are a competitive bunch)! There is still time to sponsor us and our link is:
This years tournament was held at the stunning Bowood Golf & Country Club and had twelve (2 man) teams from across the UK’s mobile and fixed line industry, vying for the Tony Bradshaw Cup. Pipping OpenCell by a single point, were the triumphant Ericsson team, of Guy Arnel and Tim Paige. Congratulations to both!
Thanks and well done to all that participated in what was a fabulous day (and night!) and we very much look forward to hosting Guy and Tim at Gleneagles later this year.
A great day was had by all as last years UK Telecoms Cup winners did battle on the famous Kings Course at beautiful Gleneagles. Neck and neck after the first nine holes, Rob Lowe (MBNL) and Alan Penman (WFS Telecom) eventually pulled away and beat Russ Jeffries (Three) and Chris Jones (Sitec) pretty comfortably 4&3.
We very much look forward to hosting this years winners later in the autumn.
Huawei, the leading information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has confirmed its commitment to provide 5G training to its key UK partners as the latest step in its campaign to drive knowledge and innovation around the upcoming 5G ecosystem across the UK.
At the Huawei UK Partner Convention held on 17th May in central London, Huawei signed an official memorandum of understanding (MOU) with their UK partners across multiple sectors.

The conference is the fifth annual partner convention from Huawei which celebrate the importance of its partnerships, and celebrate the ability of collaboration to drive quality.

Adam Eatock, one of Sitec’s Directors said, “SITEC are delighted to be asked to support Huawei with rolling out 5G services over the coming years in the next evolution of mobile services. SITEC have worked closely with Huawei over the past four years and have built a strong partnership during this time. We look forward to our engineers receiving Huawei training to allow us to continue to deliver the high standards expected by us, Huawei and their clients”.
Jerry Wang, Huawei UK CEO and Adam Eatock, Sitec Director, signed MOU at Huawei’s UK Partner Convention
Sitec have now been selected as a partner to Ericsson, to support their delivery of Design, Build and DICI services across their Vodafone Radio Swap Project. On top of the support we have been providing Ericsson on their fixed line deployment activity, this is a significant development in our growth with this much valued client.

These works – currently taking place and finishing in March – will connect over 2,000 homes around the White City Estate to the Community Fibre network. They are part of a larger roll-out programme by Community Fibre to bring full-fibre connections to more than 50,000 additional properties across London this year.
The internet service provider previously secured GBP 11.3 million of private equity investment to help support its goal of covering 500,000 homes in London. Community Fibre has already reached over 15,000 homes around Battersea, Wandsworth and Westminster.
Sitec are delighted to have been awarded gold partner status at Huawei’s global Engineering partner convention in Shenzhen, China. Adam and Dave who attended the convention are delighted that Sitec’s ADC & FTTx services have been recognised in this way and have contributed to Huawei’s success.
