Sitec Infrastructure Services Ltd are the approved distributors and installers of the new Evoco 10kW turbine. This system is the next generation of wind turbine which delivers performance and financial return on investment unrivalled in the small wind sector. The Evoco 10kW is specifically designed for high reliability, low maintenance and automatic operation.

It is a 3 blade horizontal axis turbine which can deliver an impressive 21,100kWh at average wind speeds of 5m/s and 31,400kWh at 6m/s. The low rotation speed and hub heights between 15 – 18m ensure it can be located in keeping with the environment.

How it works

Since becoming one of the first turbines to achieve full MCS certification, the Evoco 10kW turbine has rapidly become a favourite amongst farmers and rural landowners. The turbine is a 3 blade, downwind horizontal axis turbine and is compatible with both single and three phase connections. The power is regulated by a passive pitch of the blades which enables operation, even in high wind speeds, controlling the speed of the rotation by turning into the wind. The turbine is a grid connected system which delivers the power via a PMG generator with no gearbox to 6 pre-programmed grid tied inverters which convert the power to compatible AC suitable for grid connection and on site use. The turbine is assembled at ground level and raised into position via a hinged pedestal with a hydraulic RAM ensuring safe working and maintenance.

The electricity produced by the turbine will supply local useage therefore offsetting requirement from the grid and reducing electricity bills. If the output exceeds local useage then the surplus is exported to the grid. The Feed in Tariff (currently 28pence per kW) is payable for every kW of energy generate whether used on site or exported to the grid.
