Sitec joins the Welsh First Minister at £6million Energy Centre Opening

Speaking at the official opening, Dafydd Evans, Coleg Menai principal said; “The First Minister was one of the first people to see the foundations being laid for the centre and it is fitting we welcome him back to see the project come to fruition”.

Sitec are supplying and installing a quietrevolution qr5 turbine in the college grounds and was present with a ¼ scale model of the turbine at the opening to answer and questions from guests. Chris Evans from Sitec commented; “it is fitting that a college which is clearly going places in the energy sector is going to have such an attractive visual statement of its commitments to renewables”. “It was a pleasure to be invited and support them at the official opening.” The 6kW vertical axis wind turbine will supply energy to the college buildings, offsetting their demand from the grid and reducing their energy bills.
