Priory Park, Hull - Secondary Installation
Intertech is renowned for their design and implementation of high quality showrooms across the world using innovative and energy efficient designs. Each new concept utilises the latest sustainable technology. It was therefore important to demonstrate to their clients their own on-site green credentials. Their recently completed award winning headquarters in Hull incorporates a swathe of efficient, low energy technologies including LED lighting, solar and rainwater harvesting.
Sitec Infrastructure Services Ltd first visited Intertech in August last year to carry out a feasibility assessment for a vertical axis wind turbine and soon after our renewables and construction team were installing a QR5 wind turbine which is perfectly suited to their needs. The sleek and elegant design not only aesthetically pleasing to the eye but to the ear too! It’s virtually sound free with minimum vibrations as the unique design is tapered to shed noise and capture turbulent winds whilst eliminating vibrations.
And now Sitec Infrastructure Services Ltd is up there again installing their second QR5. The Second installation was commissioned on the basis that the first was so well suited to the site. Intertech wanted to add to their already functioning turbine with another to generate more energy which can be used throughout the showroom.
The second slightly taller turbine was up and generating as soon as Sitec commissioned it thanks to another windy day along the Humber estuary. Click here to see our Photo Gallery of the installation.
To find out more about Sitec’s innovative turbines and how they can not only save on your electricity bill but also make money from the Feed in Tariffs and exporting energy to the Grid contact their renewable manager Andrew Wooltorton on 01223 815633 or contact us via our email.
