Microgeneration Approved
Sitec achieved their accreditation for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme following assessment and audit of their procedures, standards and quality plans relating to the design and installation of small scale wind turbine systems. The approval and audit also involves regular on-site inspections of wind turbines installed and commissioned by Sitec.
The scheme, owned by the Government, is the benchmark for quality and standards in the Microgeneration sector and ensures that Sitec's customers have absolute confidence that their products and installations continue to meet the robust standards set by the scheme. It is also allows access to the FITS (Feed in Tariffs) which came into effect April 2010 which currently pays 28p per kW of energy generated by these size of turbines. Remember No MCS = No feed in Tariff so it is essential that both your turbine and installer are MCS accredited.
